Sunday Programs

Bible Study

Time:  9:30 a.m.

Our Babies and Ones classes are determined by and promotion based upon developmental milestones such as crawling, walking, etc. The teachers make promotion recommendations as each child develops. Our Twos through Kindergarten classes are promoted in September and are placed by birthdates using the Bossier Parish School System recommendations.

Preschoolers learn Bible truths through the eight concept areas of God, Jesus, Bible, natural world, self, others, family and church. Much of what a preschooler does is called “play” by adults, but play is the child’s work, and to us it is serious business. Our purpose is to help each preschooler to:

  • Associate God, Jesus and the Bible with happy feelings;
  • Grow in independence by beginning to meet and solve his own problems;
  • Make progress in sharing and taking turns;
  • Know that the Bible is a special book that tells about God and Jesus;
  • Think of home as a place of love and security;
  • Think of church as my church – the happy place; and
  • Begin thinking of others and adjusting to their interests.

Each Sunday morning our teachers get many hugs from loving preschoolers. These teachers know that:

  • Preschoolers are learners;
  • Preschoolers need spiritual guidance;
  • Each preschooler is of worth to God; and
  • The Bible holds important truths for preschoolers.

We use Southern Baptist curriculum. It is bible based and planned for the growth and development of preschoolers. Activity teaching is based upon the concept areas mentioned above.

Extended Teaching Care

Time:  10:30 a.m.

Extended Teaching Care is an extending time of care for your preschoolers ages birth thru Kindergarten. During the Worship Service, our preschoolers are cared for by quality teachers, volunteers, and parents. They experience a time of reinforced learning of the lesson that was taught during the Bible study time with extra activities and review.
